I am running for a seat on the Triunfo Sanitation Board of Directors because I have the leadership skills and knowledge to serve effectively.
I am an engineering manager for the Metropolitan Water District (the largest water district in Southern California).
I am a member of the Municipal Advisory Council of Oak Park. I serve as vice chair.
I am a member of the Measure R and Measure C oversight committee.
I have been married to my wife Kathy for over 20 years. We have three teenagers.
I attend Westminster Presbyterian Church.
As an engineering manager at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California I have learned to evaluate budgets, oversee projects, scrutinize operating costs, and eliminate waste so that Triunfo is run effectively.
My position at the Metropolitan has given me a good understanding of the regional water issues facing Triunfo and California. To become familiar with the local issues, I attended many Triunfo meetings over the last year.
I was elected to the Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council and serve as vice chair. In this position, I listen to the community and respond to their concerns. I have worked on traffic issues and am liaison to the school district.
My top priority will be to keep water/sanitation rates low. I will seek better financial arrangements with our water and sanitation suppliers. I will listen to the community, seek advice of experts, and listen to staff so that every decision helps the Triunfo Water District provide services effectively.
I cherish this community and respectively ask for another opportunity to serve it.
