I was elected to be a director of the Triunfo Sanitation District. I want to thank the community for trusting me with this position.
I am a member of the Municipal Advisory Council of Oak Park. I serve as vice chair.
I am engineering manager for the Metropolitan Water District (the largest water district in Southern California).I have been married to my wife Kathy for over 20 years. We have three teenagers.
I attend Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Professional Experience
As an engineering manager at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California I am responsible for running a team of civil and structural engineers. My expertise is pipeline design. As a manager I have learned to evaluate budgets, oversee projects, scrutinize operating costs, and eliminate waste. These skills are put to use for the community when serve on the Triunfo Sanitation District and the Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council.
My position at the Metropolitan has given me a good understanding of the regional water issues facing Triunfo and California. I am learning the local issues quickly in my new role as Director of the Triunfo Sanitation District. I attended many Triunfo meetings over the last year in order to shorten my learning curve.
Community Involvement
I was elected to the Triunfo Sanitation District. I want to thank the community for allowing me to serve in this capacity.
I was elected to the Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council and serve as vice chair. In this position, I listen to the community and respond to their concerns. I have worked on traffic issues and am liaison to the school district.
Issues
My top priority at Triunfo is to keep water/sanitation rates low and promote water conservation. I will seek better financial arrangements with our water and sanitation suppliers. I will listen to the community, seek advice of experts, and listen to staff so that every decision helps Triunfo provide services more effectively.
My top priority on the Municipal Advisory Council is to listen to the community and help the residents. I will actively listen to the communities concerns and advise the County Supervisor Linda Parks on the issues facing our community.
